• Download both rom and gapps file and paste in your sd card.
• Boot into twrp recovery and create backup of current rom for safety.
• after taking backup,go to wipe section and wipe- cache/dalvik/system and data.
• Now,after wiping go to install section and flash rom,after flashing rom flash gapps.
• After that hit reboot,wait for 10-15 mins it will take sometime to boot up.
• so sit back and relax dont interrupt the process.

STEPS FOR FLASHING-

• After downloading and pasting,boot in twrp recovery[alka recommended]
• Backup your current rom for safety[from backup tick all and create it]
• After backing up go to wipe section and clear data/system/cache/dalvik cache.
• Now go to install section and install cm13 radios zip.
• After flashing cm13 radios file,flash rom [wait 2-5 mins]
• After that dont reboot and flash gapps,you can reboot after flashing gapps!
• Wait 10-12 mins for first reboot,dont interrupt the process!

Finally after a long wait of time[months lol] miui8 official beta is released yesterday for our device[redmi note 3 sd].In this thread we will talk about 'what is beta rom' and how can we flash it.So lets get started.


QUESTION:- What is beta official rom[miui 8]

"Beta rom is just exact copy of miui official stable rom,thats only for beta tasters but gradually now a days anyone can flash it with few knowledge.unless its same but its not fully stable"

                                      STEPS FOR FLASHING MIUI8 BETA ROM


First of all there is 3 ways you can flash or upgrade your device to miui8 beta rom:-

• BY FASTBOOT[MI FLASH PC]
• BY UPDATER APP
• BY TWRP RECOVERY

So lets jump and understand how can we flash with these methods

1. BY FASTBOOT METHOD,MI FLASH [PC]

Yes,you can flash miui8 beta with pc,mi flash tool or fastboot flash.

REQUIREMENTS-

--> Unlocked bootloader

--> PC running on 64bit (u can use 32bit as well but it will show less storage error)

--> USB cable

--> Miui8 rom .tgz file

--> Adb and fastboot drivers.

--> Mi flash tool

--> Brain!

Before flashing ill suggest you too take backup of everything.bcz it will erase all your user data and apps installed so take backup.

                                               One more thing you can flash it without unlocking bootloader as well by EDL fastboot method,link http://en.miui.com/thread-235865-1-1.html but id suggest you to unlock bootloader and then flash simply with mi flash tool.

                                                                                 If you dont have unlocked bootloader and you wanna unlock then visit this thread,and unlock it.

NOW MOVING ON STEPS-

First of all this works on both 16/32gb model.

Steps for Flashing fastboot ROM[miui8]:-

 Using MiFlash

• Open MIUI ROM Flashing Tool.

• Turn off the device. Press the Volume– key and the Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode (bootloader). Then connect the device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable.

• Double click on the downloaded ROM file to decompress it. Open the file folder for the decompressed ROM pack, and copy its path on the computer.

• Decompress the MIUI ROM flashing tool downloaded in Step 1, and double click on it to install (if there is security warning, select 'Run'). After installation is completed, open MiFlash.exe and paste into the address bar the ROM file folder path copied in the last step. Click on the first button (circled out in yellow) to Refresh, and MiFlash should automatically recognize the device. Then click the second button (circled out in red) to flash the ROM file to the device.

• Wait until the progress bar inside MiFlash turns fully green, which means the ROM has been successfully installed. Then your device should automatically boot to the new version.

• If you see the following image after rebooting, it means that you have succeeded in flashing MIUI fastboot ROM.

Required Firmware with Download Links:-

• ADB and Fastboot Drivers

• MIUI ROM Flashing Tool head over there and download mi flash tool.
• miui8 tgz rom[fastboot]

Precautions:-

• Flashing a fastboot ROM will erase all data on your phone, so remember to take a backup.
• Make Sure that you enable USB Debugging.
• Both Methods require an unlocked bootloader.
• Both the methods will relock your bootloader.
• Install ADB and fastboot drivers properly.
• Only use the firmware meant for your device else it may get hard bricked.
• Have Patience :)

2. BY UPDATER APP[FLASHING MIUI8]

Its more likely upgrading not flashing,if you wanna upgrade to miui8 then simply flash any previous miui7 global dev version and after it you will simply get miui8 beta official update for more visit official miui site. http://en.miui.com/thread-307541-1-1.html

3.BY TWRP RECOVERY

This is the method ive used to flash miui8 beta in my redmi note 3,easiest and handy!

REQUIREMENTS-

• Unlocked bootloader
• twrp recovery installed[ive used alka,u can use any official or cofface]
• miui8 recovery rom
• common sense and patience!

If you dont have unlocked bootloader and you wanna unlock then visit this thread,and unlock it.

If you wanna flash alka twrp or any other visit this thread.

• STEPS FOR FLASHING VIA OFFICIAL TWRP-

> Must have unlocked bootloader.

> Download recovery rom zip from the link given above and paste it in sd card.

>Download lazy flasher from here and super su from here and paste in sd card as well.

> After pasting those 3 files,reboot into twrp recovery and backup for your safety.

> After taking backup go to wipe section and wipe data/cache/dalivk cache and system.

> After wiping flash all 3 files together rom zip,lazy flasher and super su from install section.

> Reboot and enjoy miui8!

• STEPS FOR FLASHING VIA TWRP COFFACE-

Same as above steps just dont flash super su and lazy flasher,just flash rom and your ready to rock! Because in cofface we dont need to flash any cracked or modified img.

• STEPS FOR FLASHING VIA TWRP ALKA-

> Must have unlocked bootloader.

> Download recovery rom zip from the link given above and paste it in sd card.

>Boot into twrp recovery and take backup for safety.

>After taking backup go to wipe section and wipe data/cache/dalvik cache and system.

>Go to install section after taking backup and chose miui8 zip and flash it.

>wait 10-15 min for flashing process.if it stuck while flashing restore your backup and try again.

>After flashing just reboot,it will ask you to disable stock recovery[disable it] it will ask you to flash super su zip[flash it]

>ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!

Download miui8 beta rom from here,paste in phone's internal>>download folder,go to updater app[turn on your data or wifi]click on 3 dots on upper right and click on 'choose update package,browse rom zip and click on it! It will take some time to flash and reboot so dont interrupt the process! if it will show cant verify package error then reboot your phone and try again! always take a backup before flashing anythimg! 
                                                               This is the easiest method to flash miui8 beta without unlocking bootloader or rooting or using pc! If u got unlocked bootloader then dont use this method use other methods[mentioned above]. ENJOY!! miui8

"FIRST OF ALL DON’T BLAME ME OR ANY DEV FOR BRICKS OR BOOTLOOPS"

1)Paste super su zip and lazy flasher zip in ur device sd card and turn ur device off.Vol- and power button for entering fastboot mode.after it attach your device via usb cable to pc.After it all pc work.

2)Create a new folder name whatever u want.paste adb folder and twrp recovery in it.Rename twrp recovery to “twrp” only without quotes.and copy twrp img in adb folder.

3)After it open adb folder and press hold shift+right mouse button and open command prompt window here.

4)After that write “fastboot devices” without quotes and hit enter to check your device is attached or not or drivers perfectly installed or not.if it shows words like bde9b61 etc that means your device is connected via fastboot.

5) Now type “fastboot flash recovery twrp.img” without quotes and hit enter.

6) After it remove your cable from phone and press hold volume+ and power button until mi logo appears after it leave buttons and you will see team win logo there and that means you have successfully flashed twrp.

7)After it backup your phone via twrp(for safety).

8)Now click on install,install zip via sd card and flash swipe super su zip.

9) Immediately again click on install and flash swipe lazy flasher zip.

10)Now reboot your phone and install root checker app to check your phone is rooted or not!

Kudos u have successfully rooted your rn3 now you’re a superuser of your device.

"Unlocking bootloader unofficialy and officially"

First of all we need to unlock boot loader..there's 2 way to unlock your bootloader--

1.official way{recommended}

2.unofficial way{risky and kinda tricky}

--OFFICIAL WAY--

well i suggest you to use 64 bit pc because miunlock tools works well with 64bit!

STEPS:-

• first you need to apply here for getting permission from xiaomi  http://en.miui.com/unlock/ it will take 6-7 days for getting approval{open link in desktop version}

• after getting approval download adb drivers and mi pc suite setup[link down there].Intsall both.open usb debugging in your phone and connect it to pc for once.After it reboot your pc.

• after it download "mi unlock tool"[link down there] and extract zip.Open it and login with same account which you used to send request for unlocking your boot loader.after that it will show a screen like connect your phone to pc.

• now,go to settings in your phone and enable usb debugging option and oem device unlock option.after that switch off your phone and press vol- and power button until a bunny appears on your screen.

• you're in fastboot mode now connect your device with pc via cable and hit unlock button!it will take 1-2 mins and your bootloader is succesfully unlocked.

THINGS TO KEEP IN YOUR MIND:-

• You need a active internet connection for unlocking.

• If your device is not connecting when you're in fastboot mode then install drivers properly.

• Use 64bit pc{recommended}

50% ERROR ISSUE OR NOT VERIFY YOUR ACCOUNT ISSUE:-

well everything is easy huh?nope because while unlocking your gonna face 50% error issue mostly times. for fixing that follow below steps[not 100% sure thats gonna work]

• in my opinion wait for 6-7 days after getting permission bcz of mi servers.it will take sometime to upgrade their servers and add your device in list so be patient.

• try daily.never give up just try[got my phone unlocked on 6th day as well :P]

• before trying. go to i.mi.com and sign up with same account there use your phone number all time to login. locate your device from there and make sure your device is showing "online" there.

• for locating your device open your mi account in your phone and go to cloud option and enable find device.

• remove all security locks,pins,patterns,fps before trying (Y)

Xiaomi has launched Redmi Note 3 smartphone in India, introducing a Qualcomm-based variant of the handset in the country. This marks the first international launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which waslaunched in China in November last year sporting a MediaTek Soc.

The new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon 650 SoC, and Xiaomi claims it is the first smartphone in the country to do so. It will be available in Dark Grey, Champagne Gold, and Silver colours, and Xiaomi says the smartphone is its third 'Make in India' offering in the country.

The Redmi Note 3 will be available in two RAM and storage versions - one including 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, and other 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The 2GB variant is priced at Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB variant is priced at Rs. 11,999. It will be available from Wednesday via Mi.com, and Amazon.in. It will go on sale on Flipkart and Snapdeal at a later date.

The smartphone features an all-metal body and also packs a fingerprint scanner at the back, just like the original Redmi Note 3 with a MediaTek SoC. Xiaomi says users can store up to 5 fingerprint profiles. Users will get a 2-month free subscription to Hungama. Xiaomi also announced that its recently unveiled Mi 5 flagship will launch in India in April. 

The highlight of the new Redmi Note 3 is it packs a hexa-core Snapdragon 650 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.4GHz and two Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 1.8GHz). Other specifications of the smartphone are identical with original, including a 5.5-inch full-HD 1080x1920 pixels IPS display and offers 178-degree viewing angle.

It runs MIUI 7 based on Android Lollipop and supports dual 4G SIM cards (Micro + Nano). The handset packs a 4050mAh battery with fast charging support that can charge up to 50 percent in 1 hour, same as the Redmi Note 3. On the camera front, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and two-tone flash. It also houses a 5-megapixel front camera. It measures 150x76x8.65mm and weighs 164 grams. For connectivity, the handset supports 4G LTE (compatible with Indian LTE bands), VoLTE, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS, Glonass, Wi-Fi, and Micro-USB.
